Directs and coordinates production efforts through shop foremen including planning, assisting project managers with scheduling, and ensures required equipment, material, and personnel are available to complete all assigned and upcoming jobs.
Ensure required personnel, material, and equipment is available to support all ongoing and upcoming projects. Coordinates with trade foremen to assign proper supervision to each project along with knowledgeable and experienced trade workers as required. Reviews all job requirements to ensure that technical requirements can be met and proper personnel are readily available to accomplish requirements. Alerts the Division Director if there are requirements that cannot be accomplished by the company so that other avenues may be pursued to accomplish the requirements. Ensures that all material is requisitioned on a timely basis so that the production team can accomplish work in a timely, efficient manner. Will assist the Project/Program Manager when needed to accomplish estimates, ensure reports are submitted with sound technical recommendations, and schedule conflict resolution. Will work with HR, Safety, and QA to maintain all training and certifications. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of department staff. The Production Manager will also perform other duties as assigned. This position will also assure organizational compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental, state, local and federal regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or other engineering fields preferred; and three to five years related marine, shipyard or industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Must have Microsoft Office Software experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus.
