The Project manager is responsible for the proper administration, planning, scheduling and budget for assigned projects. Coordinates daily activities, resolves resource conflicts within the company and resolves customer issues. The project manager is to continually monitor budget and schedule adherence and keep the program manager updated in accordance with company procedures.
Create, maintain, and analyze budgets, records, logs, and production schedules to ensure work is accomplished within budget and on time. Coordinates with craft supervision, Production Manager, Program Manager, QA and Safety to ensure planning requirements are established and met. Review and submit all condition reports to the customer including associated cost and possible schedule disruptions. Negotiates and settles all change orders with the customer. Maintain all change order estimates and create job opening sheets as required. Attend required meetings with the customer as well as the employer. Hold daily on sight production meetings with supervisors, QA, and safety to ensure all aspects of the project are being planned and executed in a safe and productive manner while upholding required quality requirements. Coordinate with supervision and subcontractors to ensure schedule conflicts do not arise between different trades. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of department staff. The Project Manager will also perform other duties as assigned. This position will also assure organizational compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental, state, local and federal regulations.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or other engineering fields preferred; and three to five years related marine, shipyard or industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Must have Microsoft Office Software experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus.
